George Miller History from Pete Townsend

Pete Townsend has Ancestry.com file PW_Townsend. Is related through George Miller somehow

Hello,
An Ancestry family tree hint for George E Miller born abt 1877 in Indiana directed me to your C Reber Family Tree. I think the George E Miller listed in your tree may be one and the same George E Miller listed in my Ancestry tree named "Townsend Tree." The Ancestry hint resulted when I saved the 1930 census record for George E Miller residing in Martinez, Contra Costa County, California to my tree. I found George E Miller thru his wife listed as Mabel C in the 1930 census which you have listed as Mabel C Sanders. From my research I think her maiden name is actually Clara Mabel Harding. However, her first and middle names are sometimes reversed as Mabel Clara as is found in the 1930 census in Martinez, California. Her mother's maiden name is Elizabeth Maude Deal. She was a married to a Harding at which time she had daughter Clara Mabel Harding abt 1877 and Walter Wellington Harding in 1883. She then remarried to William L Sanders in Marion County, Indiana in 1893. William L Sanders presumably died before 1900 and Maude Sanders (age 43) is listed as the widowed head of household during the 1900 census in Indianapolis, Indiana with daughter Mabel C Harding (age 23) and son Walter Harding (age 16).
My GG grandfather had a brother Ralph H Townsend who married to Clara Mabel Harding in 1909 in Lake County, Indiana. Ralph H Townsend and wife Clara resided in Chicago, Illinois during the 1910 census. They had two daughters Marion Townsend (b: abt 1910) and Ethel Townsend (b: 1914) that were born in Chicago. Sometime after Ethel was born, the family relocated to Colon, Michigan. Ralph H Townsend was a traveling salesman and in 1925 died suddenly of a heart attack at a coffee shop in Blair, Nebraska. His widow Clara Mabel then remarried to George E Miller (when or where they married I don't know). By 1927 the family relocated to Martinez, California (presumably due to George E Miller's occupation/employment in the Oil business). Clara's daughter Ethel Townsend died (age 15) in Martinez, California in 1929. Daughter Marion Townsend married to Walden Melvin Lapham in Martinez, California in 1930. The 1929 death certificate for daughter Ethel Townsend and the 1930 marriage license for daughter Marion Townsend both list their parent's names as Ralph H Townsend and Clara Mabel Harding. Your family tree shows that George E Miller died back in Wells, Indiana. Do you happen to know when he died or where he was buried? Do you know anything about how long he may have stayed in California (I think I found a Martinez city directory listing for him as late as 1940). Also, would you know anything about when or where his 2nd wife Clara Mabel may have died?

Merry Christmas
Pete Townsend
